Celebrate Her Success Without Questioning Your Own
How many times have you compared yourself / your business / your success to others in your industry? How many times have you let that little voice in your head tell you that you are not enough? How many times have you listened and felt defeated?
Let me tell you this, friends - you are not alone.
Today I want to share with you my advice on loving your fellow boss lady friends and building community over competition!
1 - Be thankful for the little "wins": If you are new in business, this is especially important! Be thankful for each new subscriber to your newsletter, every positive comment on your posts, and every single new Instagram follower! That may sound silly, but these little wins can lead to huge success!
2 - Stay true to you: This is one thing I will forever preach... Stay true to you and you have no competition. Seriously. Why be like everyone else? There is no one else like you - THAT is one of your competitive advantages! When you are truly authentic your will build a strong brand and tribe of followers who are loyal to you!
3 - Join a creative community: There are a lot of creative boss ladies who are leading the creative community in the "community over competition" movement. The Rising Tide Society, for example, is a community of small business CEOs that empower one another to thrive. Being a part of something greater can deeply enrich your outlook on your business. Encouraging and lifting up others will end up benefiting you more than you know!
4 - Believe: This is huge. If you do not believe you can do it, who will? If you want success, believe you can achieve it. Make it happen. Don't doubt yourself. When potential clients ask me why they should work with you, respond with confidence.
5 - Be inspired by others: Let others inspire you to create something new or design something unique. Appreciate the talent of others and recognize yours! Finding inspiration in other creatives is a good thing! It means that you truly appreciate their work and are inspired to create something on your own.
